Annual Tree Lighting & Christmas Movie Night

A FREE community movie night and the annual Christmas on Mercer tree lighting ceremony are coming up soon!
When: Dec 1st – At Dusk
Come celebrate the lighting of the Christmas tree with us each year at the Triangle in downtown Dripping Springs! Savor a performance by the DS Middle School cheer squad and carols performed by the Sunset Canyon Baptist Church Choir. Join us for an outdoor showing of “The Santa Clause” at Stephenson Field after the tree lighting by strolling along Mercer Street. To enjoy the concert, pack warmly and bring your own chairs and blankets! There’s Mercer Street and side streets with limited parking. The Stephenson Field is located behind the Masonic Lodge, right off of Mercer and Old Fitzhugh. –

The Trail of Lights at the EmilyAnn Theatre, now in its 14th year, has become a Wimberley tradition.

Businesses, individuals, and the Wimberley community all contribute to the brilliant Christmas decorations that bring people from all over Central Texas. Bring your friends and family to stroll over six acres of holiday-themed paths! The air is frosty as a gathering gathers beneath the flagpole on top of a steep hill in Wimberley. The view from above. The earth underneath. The joy of waiting. A meeting of believers. The illumination of the Menorah. The breaking of the Ramadan fast. The Christmas tunes. The Trail of Lights will be open until December 31st, ushering in the New Year. The trail is open Sunday through Thursday from dusk until 9 pm, Friday and Saturday from dusk until 10. The Trail of Lights is a pleasant and safe way to see Christmas lights on a walking tour that takes guests through six acres of lighted Wonderland, with Ye Olde Yule Log burning nightly as weather allows. –

This event is the ideal way to start the Christmas season! Trees will be coated and burnt in time for Christmas so that you can enjoy your tree all winter!
